Custom Pool Cages in Naples, FL
Custom Pool Cages & Pool Enclosures in Naples, FL
Custom Pool Cages Built for Your Naples Home
A pool cage is the difference between a pool you look at and a pool you actually use. McGowan Screen & Aluminum Specialist designs and builds custom pool cages and screened pool enclosures for homes across Naples, Marco Island, Bonita Springs and Estero — mansard, gable, dome and flat-roof designs sized to your pool deck, your roofline and the way you live outdoors.
Every enclosure starts with an on-site measure and a design conversation: how much deck you want covered, whether you want picture-window panels for an open view of the lake or preserve, which screen mesh fits your yard (standard 18/14, No-See-Um or Super Screen), and where the doors and kick plates go. We pull the Collier County permit, engineer the frame to current Florida Building Code wind loads and Jeremy’s crew builds it.
Built to Withstand Florida’s Weather
Pool enclosures in Naples, Marco Island and Estero have to hold up to relentless sun, salt air, summer downpours and hurricane-force wind. That’s why we use corrosion-resistant extruded aluminum, powder-coated finishes, stainless or Nylo-Tech fasteners and high-tension Phifer screen engineered for strength and UV resistance.
Every pool cage we build is designed to meet or exceed Collier and Lee County wind-load requirements, with properly sized footers, cable bracing where the span calls for it and gutter attachments that don’t become a weak point in a storm. It’s the standard Southwest Florida learned the hard way in Irma and Ian.
Strong, Safe and Good-Looking Pool Cages
- Mansard, gable, dome and flat-roof cage designs
- Heavy-duty footers, wall posts and hurricane bracing
- Stainless steel and Nylo-Tech hardware for rust prevention
- Picture-window screen panels for unobstructed views
- No-See-Um, Super Screen and pet-resistant mesh options
- Bronze or white powder-coated frames, kick plates and doors
- Commercial pool enclosures for condos, HOAs and hotels
Pool Cage Replacement in Naples
Not every tired cage needs to come down. If the frame is sound but the screen is brittle or the paint is chalking, a cage refurbish or a full rescreen will give you another decade for a fraction of the price. When posts are corroded through, the footers have moved or the cage was under-engineered for today’s wind codes, a pool cage replacement is the safer investment — and we’ll tell you honestly which one you need after we look at it.
For a replacement we remove and haul off the old structure, repair or pour new footers where needed (concrete & stone work is done in-house), and build the new cage to the current code. Most residential replacements are typically finished within about a week of the permit being issued, and we handle the inspection.
Commercial Pool Cages & Enclosures
Condo associations, HOAs, apartment communities and hotels in Naples, Marco Island and Bonita Springs count on us for commercial pool enclosures that meet the stricter guard and egress requirements of the Florida Building Code and stand up to daily use. We work with property managers on phasing so the pool stays open as much as possible, provide engineered drawings for the association’s records and schedule around season.
Typical commercial work: full cage replacement after storm damage, rescreening of large community enclosures, aluminum railing and gate upgrades to bring the pool deck into compliance, and picture-window conversions for a cleaner Gulf view. Send us the property address and we’ll walk it with you.
What Affects the Cost of a Pool Cage in Naples
Two pool cages the same size can price very differently. The biggest factors are the footprint and roof style (a mansard or gable roof takes more aluminum and engineering than a flat roof), the screen mesh you choose (Super Screen and No-See-Um cost more than standard 18/14 but last longer), the number of doors and picture-window openings, whether the existing deck and footers can be reused, and how much demolition and haul-off is involved.
We give a written, itemized quote after we measure — never a per-square-foot guess over the phone — and if a refurbish is realistic we can price that option alongside the new build so you can compare. Request a free estimate or call (239) 317-5471.
Pool Cage Questions We Hear in Naples
How long does a new pool cage take?
Once the Collier or Lee County permit is issued, most residential pool cages are typically built in three to seven working days. Permitting itself usually takes two to four weeks depending on the jurisdiction and whether engineering is required. We handle the drawings, submission and inspection.
Do I need a permit for a pool cage in Naples?
Yes. Any new aluminum screen enclosure or structural replacement in Collier County (and in Lee County for Bonita Springs, Estero and Fort Myers) requires a building permit with engineered drawings. Rescreening and like-for-like repairs generally do not. We pull the permit as part of every new build.
Should I replace my pool cage or refurbish it?
If the frame is structurally sound, a refurbish (rescreen, repaint, new hardware and doors) is the better value. If posts are corroded through, footers have shifted, or the cage pre-dates the current wind code and you want it built to last, a replacement makes more sense. We’ll inspect it and quote both.
Which screen is best for a Naples pool cage?
Standard 18/14 fiberglass mesh is the most economical. No-See-Um (20/20) keeps out the tiny biting midges common near the mangroves and preserves. Super Screen is a heavier polyester mesh that resists tears, pets and UV far longer. Picture-window panels give an open view without vertical bars. We carry all of them and will show you samples.
Will my new pool cage survive a hurricane?
No screen enclosure is hurricane-proof, but a cage engineered to the current Florida Building Code wind loads, with proper footers, stainless fasteners and cable bracing, performs dramatically better than the older cages that failed in Irma and Ian. Screen panels are designed to give way before the frame does, which protects the structure.
Where do you build pool cages?
We build and service pool enclosures throughout Naples, Marco Island, Bonita Springs, Estero, Fort Myers and Cape Coral from our Naples shop and Bonita Springs location.

My wife and I decided to do our front lanai and got recommended through multiple people in our community to go with Jeremy at Mcgowans Screen and Aluminum. We had our front entry way with a custom PCA door installed and the job came out fantastic! He is extremely professional and his crew is amazing at the job they do. He is very helpful and accommodating and the price was very reasonable for the custom work that they did. If anyone out there is looking for someone they can trust who is licensed and insured and will work with you throughout the process than we would highly recommended Jeremy and his guys at Mcgowans Screen and Aluminum!!!!! I called McGowan’s to redo all the screen on my back lanai as several had ripped or gotten holes in them. I used his company several years ago to build my front lanai and was so happy with their work. I was on the schedule a few days later and his guys finished the job in just over an hour. It’s great to have a trusted professional you’ve had great experiences with to use in the future and recommend to family, friends and neighbors.Posted on Google![]()

It is my pleasure to review this company who refurbished our 20+ year old lanai cage. They refurbished all the rusted out bolts and supports which were in dire need of repair. The entire cage also needed repainting along with replacement of all screens that were very worn out. I can’t say enough about Jeremy and his crew that worked their magic on our cage that now looks brand new. Oscar, who was in charge of painting our cage did an amazingly thorough job and took pride in his work. Willy was Spider Man of the crew whose job it was to scale the sides and ceiling of our cage to replace the screen. Truly amazing to watch him effortlessly perform this task. They even vacuumed the work area when finished. I enthusiastically recommend this company for your lanai cage refurbishing needs.Posted on Google![]()

Jeremy and his team did a great job on the demo of our closed lanai, restoring it to a beautiful screened lanai once again. He gave us a fair price and the team worked efficiently & professionally!Posted on Google![]()

After one of the hurricanes (Helene) we had three pool cage screens needing replacement. We were leaving town the next day and neighbor suggested we call Jeremy of McGowan Screen and Aluminum who was currently doing screen repair for her. I called him and he said he could take care of my screens once done with my neighbors. A few hours later the new screens were installed by Willy who was very efficient and professional. We were so impressed with Jeremy, Willy and the company that we got a quote to replace the rest of the old screens, replace as many rusted screws, nuts and bolts, replace all rusted framing including bottom rails and to replace two screen doors. Lastly, we have a solid overhang (awning) covering and giving shade to a third of our pool deck. This structure was in bad shape structurally and need a true professional to determine how to reinforce this structure to code. We got an acceptable quote and a date they could start and an approximate completion date. Everything was completed in a little more than three days. The work quality of Willy and his helper was incredible and done with care, professionalism and care for our surrounding landscaping. We couldn't be more happy with Jeremy and McGowan Screen and Aluminum company. Regardless of what you need done to you pool cage area, screens or lanai, I highly recommend this company! You owe it to yourself to consider this incredible company.
